Although, all roads, trails and bridges have been repaired from the August 2008 flooding, closure to Havasupai campground has been closed to tourists until the date of June 1, 2009. This action has been taken not due to the flooding which caused closure through 2008, but because of Swine Flu outbreak in North America. In order to keep the Supai tribe safe from this virus, the tribe has closed contact with tourists through May 2009.
Reservations may be made as usual through for dates starting after June 1, 2009. All reservations are made via telephone.

The swine flu has gotten worse since the original closure date. Now it is weeks away from monsoon season. Jeez – and thats when they are opening up! Yikes.
