Navajo Falls
Description of Navajo Falls
Named after a Supai Chief, Navajo Falls tumbles 75 feet into a refreshing pool. Excellent for hours of swimming and exploring. Navajo Falls has traditionally been the first waterfall you see when entering Havasupai. It comes about 1/4 mile before the campground. Navajo was an excellent spot for swimming and a 40-50 foot cliff jump. However, one of the main attractions of Navajo Falls is the tremendously intricate details of greenery and caves that this area provides. Unfortunately, in August 2008, Navajo was destroyed due to a flood that caused the water to revert course away from the Cliff that was Navajo Falls.
